B.o.B’s successful debut was followed by the release of “Airplanes”, an alternative hip hop song, which featured vocals from a lead single of “Paramore” band Hayley Williams. The song proved to be yet another international success, as it topped music charts in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, and the United Kingdom, and inspired many covers and samples, the most notable being those sung by Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, Nicki Minaj and Travis Michael Garland. “Airplanes” also earned B.o.B a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. Around the same time, he changed his name to B.o.B and began working on his songs.
